In the solace of my work shop, working with irons and metals, I cut, I grind, I weld, I remember - My Father. I was raised in a small cabin in Palmer, Alaska. Dad was a welder on the "Slope" in Barrow, Alaska. When he was home I was glued to his hip on every project, mostly getting in the way, but Dad wouldn't have it any other way. For fun, after work was done, he'd create fantastic toys - cannons, animals, cowboy hats, swords, wagons, pistols, and then one day he made a Rose... "Papa's Rose" the name given by his grand children. To heal, to connect, to remember - I create.
